Filling stitches: Long and short darning stitch, encroaching stitch, running stitch, Edging: Buttonhole stitch, fabric tassels with colored beads on four corners
Design is inspired from indigenous bird of Pahari region Pinju. Pair of birds is shown in central field interspersed with floral decoration. In outer border birds are shown in different flying positions. The stitches are taken minutely to bring out fine details and voiding technique is used to define sections in miniscule areas like body, wings and tail of birds. Variations of stitches are used to make the composition lively.
